Based on the uplifting true story of the Von Trapp family, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music marked the final collaboration of the legendary songwriting duo. A huge success on stage from its debut in 1957, The Sound of Music went on to become one of the most successful Oscar-winning film musicals ever. The score for The Sound of Music touches the hearts of all ages and brims over with some of the most memorable music and lyrics ever performed on the musical stage, including timeless classics such as "My Favorite Things," "Do-Re-Mi," "Edelweiss," and, of course, the glorious title song "The Sound of Music."
